Delightful 2 storey beach front house with fabulous sea views from a sundeck on the first floor, where there are 2 bedrooms, one twin bed with a balcony overlooking a little vineyard and views towards the mountains, the other a double bedroom with a large sundeck with table and chairs where you can take in the views of pretty Almyrida bay. The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness and safety. The ground floor kitchen and living area also has a double sofa bed which can sleep two, and a shower room.
Originally a quiet fishing village Almyrida, which is 30 minutes from Chania Airport in Western Crete and 20 minutes from Souda the main ferry port, remains an unspoilt small resort. There are a variety of water sports and several tavernas right on the sea front serving locally caught fish and fresh local cuisine.
There is a bakery, several bars, supermarkets, and shops and car hire and bus services into Chania Town all within easy walking distance.
There are miles of beautiful coastline in Western Crete and plenty to see and do. A mountain range adds to the charm of this part of Crete, which is considered largely uncrowded and unspoilt.
