Set in acres of farmland between Villeneuve Sur Lot and Cahors, on the edge of Aquitaine & Dordogne regions,
L'Alouette, is a luxurious retreat surrounded by gardens and trees where children can run about safely and where a passing car is an event.
Come through the gates and up the tree lined driveway through our private woodland and past the tennis court to find our beautiful converted barn L'alouette which blends harmoniously into the landscape.
Bordeneuve is set in 3 acres of private land with our house, L'hirondelle, our gite Le Papillon and L'alouette.
Spacious and tastefully restored to a very high standard, L'alouette offers all the facilities to ensure the perfect holiday.
L'alouette (sleeps up to 8)
L'alouette has been lovingly restored using natural and local materials to give a sense of space and light, with solid stone walls which keeps it cool in summer and cosy in the Winter.
L'alouette has a private terrace with a table, chairs, BBQ and lovely views.
There will be a warm welcome for you when you come to stay at Bordeneuve. Everything is here to make your holiday one to remember!
We have a fully alarmed, heated swimming pool of 11x 5.5 meters with poolside dining areas,decking and sun loungers.
Adjacent to the pool is a partly covered sun terrace with a long wooden table and BBQ for al fresco dining which will seat up to 15 people.
Just beyond the pool area is a 6 seater hottub to keep you occupied while dinner is being prepared.
The ideal place to watch the sun set with a little pastis!
We now have another Spa nestled away in the corner of the forest, very romantic!
L'alouette Offers
Spacious, luxury accommodation with fully fitted kitchen, including american fridge/freezer with integral ice maker,, huge belling range cooker, microwave & dishwasher.
Open plan lounge with 7 seat L shaped sofa,a 8' antique armoire which hides a flat screen Tv and DVD with english satellite channels, a gorgeous Godin woodburner and a white cast iron spiral staircase which leads to a gallery. Here you can also see the absolutely stunning views through the 10' glass french doors
The gallery can be used as either another sitting room or with the aid of our very comfy double sofabed bedroom 4, there is a small wc and sink upstairs too!
There are 2 double bedrooms downstairs with ancient wooden Louis 15th carved beds and one twin room complete with two day beds
Our family bathroom has a luxurious freestanding enormous roll top bath and a walk in hydrotherapy, 6 jet shower, wc and sink. There is a second toilet upstairs
There are acres of gardens and loads of fruit trees, plums, cherries, apples, pears more plums, walnut, quince, figs mirabels, peaches, apricots and many more.
Our little forest has its own hot-tub nestled away under the oak trees,lots of hammocks, swings and other nice garden things so that you can find your own private space here at L;alouette.
We have a fabulous golf club and horseriding stables only 15mins drive from us.
The River Lot is only about 5 mins away and has endless watersports, boats and fishing and we are surrounded by glorious vinyards where you can sample your favourite tipple!
